The start of the tour from the owners through the aroma of the roses used. It is then extracted this golden produce of Rose Oil. To that later that it goes through the process of a Still, boiling off the Rich Rose Oil in their produce rooms Then bottled and sent off to their many established selling agents. Samaria farm is the only Rose Oil producing Farm in Australia with a unique exporting to the Japanese people. Whom love all the different scents.
Through the undulating pastures with excellent fenced off treed areas. Up the rise to the Self Contained two-bedroom cottage this has a 3.0 KLW solar power to reduce costs placing power back to the grid. A Lounge and Kitchen with its own unique vista.
Through flower mase to a Caravan the doubled up as more accommodation for quests.
It has a deck and a lovely aspect.
A quaint retail store with various produce from the farm pursuit of oils.
Old machinery as we Miranda along and then to the distillery for the Rose Oil Product.
Stroll down the hill to the treed lined paddocks with a myriad of varieties of fruit trees plants shrubs and century old oak tree.
The Old’ Era farm home has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. (Doubles up off the veranda for the patrons) Large Kitchen preparation area for the restaurant. Two large lounge rooms and an Office. To the end is a laundry and off to the front a swimming pool.

A large deck and onto lush green lawns at the front and rear of this enterprise. They have discontinued pursuing the restaurant - this due to the age of one of the owners and wishes to slow up. This has not realised its full potential and the incumbents will take full benefit to this enterprise that certainly did not reach its full potential. They had all day breakfast and did not pursue an evening sitting. The end of a part of the deck has coffee machine cake display and fridges for this operation.
As I said internal commercial kitchen with preparation areas.

SAMARIA ROSEWATER
Rosewater from Samaria Farm is steamed distilled from the buds produced by the plantation of 2,000 organically grown Damask Rose plant. Samaria Farm is the only commercial sized rosewater produced facility in Australia.
A single pass distillation process is used to produce our hydrosol, referred to as rosewater. In other parts of the world the hydrosol is re-distilled many times to produce the maximum volumes of Rose Oil resulting in a by-product of rosewater. Our aim is to produce the highest quality rosewater with only one distillation. Imported rosewater has between 400 and 800 parts per million of rose volatiles. Testing of our rosewater at the Southern Cross University in Lismore NSW shows rose volatiles in our rosewater to be between 1,200 and 2,600 parts per million.
In the rose season of 2020 we produced 800 litres of rosewater and only harvested from less than half the plants and could have easily produced over 2,000 litres. The picking was done with 2 pickers working for an average of 4 hours each per day. This is done for 30 days straight, usually from the last week in October. The distilling takes about 6 hours and some days 2 distillations are done. Each distillation produces up to 20 litres of rosewater.
We sell the rosewater from $40 per litre, for wholesale orders over 10 litres, to $460 per litre for retail sales of 50 ml bottles.
ESSENTIAL OILS and HYDROSOLS
The distillation of the roses also produces rose oil. This produced 180ml of rose oil selling for $60 per ml wholesale and $100 per ml retail in 2020.
Other essential oils produced from plants on the farm are: Lemon, Lemon Myrtle, Lime, Saville Orange, Grapefruit, Cyprus, Lemon Scented Eucalyptus and Blue Gum Eucalyptus.
These also produce hydrosols that are sold for various uses.
DISTILLATION WORKSHOPS
Distillation workshops are conducted throughout the year using seasonal produce. Up to 6 persons per workshop at a fee of $250 per person.
